Will water be heated on a cloudy day?

Absolutely, water retains its ability to be heated even on cloudy days. Despite the diminished efficiency of the solar collector during overcast conditions, it remains capable of warming water for typical purposes. Nevertheless, in instances of heavily clouded skies or rainy weather, it might become imperative to utilise gas or electric backup methods to sustain water at the desired temperature. It’s important to note that the system is automated, guaranteeing an uninterrupted water supply even on rainy days.

What maintenance is required for the solar water heater and solar collector?

Why is one of my panels producing less than the others?
Variable energy generation from one solar panel to the next is influenced by several factors:

Solar panels come “mismatched” directly from the factory, with variations of up to 2-5%, which is considered normal. Comparing solar panels that are not on the same roof plane results in differing daily sun exposure. Obstructions or shading can affect a panel’s performance during parts of the day; for instance, neighboring roofs or vent stack shadows. In these scenarios, a 10% variation among panels on the same roof plane is not uncommon.

If you have replaced a microinverter, the display will show production only for the new unit. Data will be accurate starting from the installation of the new microinverter, but any energy production prior to its replacement will not be visible.

Why is the panel grey or blank?

If no energy has been reported for the period you are viewing, a solar panel in your array will appear grey. The panel might not have awakened for the day, possibly because it is the last to receive sunlight. Alternatively, the panel might be encountering a communication disruption in transmitting its data to your Envoy. Once communication is restored, it will report and display all the data from the period of disruption. Energy production and communication of microinverters will be influenced by snow cover.

Why is the panel black?

When a panel is unable to produce power, it will appear black. This situation can occur during rainy days or when your array is covered in snow. If weather conditions cannot account for the absence of production, there might be an issue with the solar panel or microinverter. How do I move a panel?

When Consol constructed your virtual array in Enlighten, they positioned your panels to replicate the exact layout of the panels installed on your roof. If you have doubts about the accuracy of this arrangement, we can help you make necessary updates to your array.

Is my system producing if the array isn’t built?

Indeed, the array serves solely as a virtual depiction of what has been physically installed on your roof. It doesn’t influence the functionality of your system in any way. As long as your microinverters are functioning properly, they will generate energy.

Additionally, if communication with the Envoy is established, the energy they produce will be reflected in your total energy readings. If, for any reason, your Virtual array is not constructed, please don’t hesitate to contact us, and we will take care of it for you.

How do I switch between energy and power produced?

By swiping your finger across the graph on the Energy tab within your Enlighten mobile app, you can access a momentary overview of system-level power. It’s important to note that both Enlighten mobile and MyEnlighten interfaces do not have the capability to present power data for individual modules in the array view.
